App of the week : BoosterBuddy

BoosterBuddy is a free app designed to help teens and young adults improve their mental health.

Users can manage their personal wellness journey and earn achievements as a cute animated buddy guides them through a series of daily quests designed to establish and sustain positive habits. Quests include mood check-ins, crisis planning, writing coping statements, and more. Once quests are complete, the buddy provides inspirational quotes and dresses up in hats.

Users can

  • Check-in with how they are feeling each day
  • Use coping skills
  • Keep track of appointments and medications
  • Get started on tasks
  • Follow self-care routines
  • Increase real-life socialization

Mental health is a major concern for many and is something people talk about more freely than before. The growing number of apps, activities and discussions around how to maintain or improve it shows that it will continue being a major trend in the coming years.
